How To Login To MKU Student Portal


1. Open your browser and open the student portal address https://studentportal.mku.ac.ke/umis/studentportal/
2. If you are a registered student you will need to input your student ID/Reg.Number. Don’t forget your registration year and it must be in full. Eg: 2016 and not 16
3. Type your password. If its your first time logging in, You are adviced to use either your National ID / Passport No. or Mobile No. or Telephone No. wth out any spaces
4. You can change your password later.

How to create mku student portal account


As a fresher to Mount Kenya University, the university encourages you to set up a Student online portal account on the platform. To be able to do that, here are steps to help you.


1. Open your browser and open the student portal address https://studentportal.mku.ac.ke/umis/studentportal/
2. Scroll down to the second box and under the Application Ref No. input your Ref No. or Index No / Exam Year . Remember The year of registration must be in full eg 01234567001/2016
3. Click on “Generate Letter Of Offer” to continue.


How to create mku student email


As a student of Mount Kenya University, you will need a student email to be able to access so many on campus and academic stuff. To be able to register for your student email, kindly follow these instructions below:


1. Click on the link or copy and paste the link https://www.studentemailreg.mku.ac.ke to your browser and enter your registration number
2. Choose your active email from the drop-down and request a verification code by clicking on the Send verification code button
3. Select the email and click on the Send verification code
4. Enter the verification code that was sent your email and click on Sign In
5. To update your Safaricom Line click on the link number 1 and enter your active number
6. To create your official email click on link number 2 and follow the provided instruction.
NB: If you have created your email earlier and have forgotten your password, you can always click on the password reset to reset your password.
